You made it to Santiago and received your Compostela. After months of preparation and the hard work on your Camino, it's all over. When you first arrive in Santiago, you might feel elated, downcast, relieved, disappointed, serene, excited, or a mixture of all these things and more. Don't worry, that's perfectly normal!

Having returned home, you might feel out of sync with the real world and a little lost or empty. Some people call this the "post-Camino syndrome." You've developed a sense of wanting to stay connected to the Camino in your daily life. The good news is, there are ways you can do this. We call it "giving back."

On our website, we show you how you can give back to our association after your return home. With us, you have the opportunity to share your pilgrimage experiences and impressions with others in the long term as a member and hospitalero/a.

Become a member of the association “VLTREIA eV” and volunteer your time.

Many people find fulfillment in giving back. They do this, for example, by becoming a hospitalero . Many of our members have been inspired to help others on their pilgrimages. They offer them warm hospitality and care as hospitaleros in our hostel in La Faba.
