Founding of the non-profit association "VLTREIA eV" to promote the medieval pilgrimage routes in the vault "Zum wahren Jakob" in Stuttgart-Degerloch by initiator Manfred Hartmann and nine other founding members .
November 16, 1994
Presentation of a generous donation in the amount of 250,000 DM by the regional historian and writer Dr. Gerhard Raff from the proceeds of the sale of the historical work "Hie gut Wirtemberg allewege", Volume II.

Laying of the foundation stone for the pilgrim church and hostel of ELIZARRA in Navarre

Rejection of the ELIZARRA project by the cultural department of the government of Navarre, in contradiction to the initial favorable support by the previous government.

After a lengthy search and thanks to the successful efforts of the married couple Herbert and Liliana Simon , the Bishop of Astorga offered a new location in La Faba , in the territory of the former Kingdom of León, four kilometers from the border with Galicia.
July 25, 2000
The foundation stone for the La Faba pilgrim hostel was laid on St. James' Day. Construction of the hostel, which would have 28 beds, was scheduled to begin in the coming days, with completion planned for autumn 2001.
The construction costs were estimated at 300,000 DM. Manfred Hartmann symbolically laid current documents in a copper box as the foundation stone.
